That worked for me so hopefully it will work for others.1. Reinstall PowerDVD 7.3319 straight off the LG Bluray drive software disc. This installs version 1.55 of the sptd driver, not the latest 1.56 version.ĩ. Install a version of DT lite without SPTD 1.56 (see changelog) e.g.: DT Lite 4.12.0 from here. Upgrade to the latest version of AnyDVDĨ.

"C:\Documents and Settings\User01\Desktop\sptdinst_x86.exe" removeħ. browse and select the installer from where you saved it, and add the word remove at the end of the line.So you will have something like (if saved to desktop): The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.Ĥ.

Note that if you have installed the later version of DT Lite, you will have installed a SPDT driver, which needs to be removed as well, as this interfers with DT, so make sure you uninstall things properly: I switched back over to DT Pro Basic, mounted the image again, and it worked perfectly in both PD7 and PD8. Just to test I re-installed DT lite and mounted the image, it gave me the please update player error. I mounted an image, it immediately started playing in both PD7 and PD8 without any issues or hesitation. I installed it, leaving all drivers and stuff of that nature the same. I downloaded the newest Daemon Tools Pro Basic, the free 10 day trial one. I thought I would download a non-Lite version and try that. With this I was getting the message about updating the player everytime I tried to play something. I was using the newest DT lite (version 4.3?) that is on their website. Sometimes I see "file mode" flashed up when PDVD is getting ready to try to play the iso.Ī. Would you like to update now?" It doesn't matter what iso image I mount as the result is the same. "CyberLink PowerDVD requires perodic updates to continue playing back some new disc titles. PowerDVD is reporting I need to update my software, saying something like "Some movies may fail to play if updates arent applied" For a start bin the 4.3 version, and dig out 4.1 instead.
